23 seconds is an internet publishing house and a netlabel with the aim to share music, art and other works. It also functions as a collective of artists. We wants to offer new, interesting and diverse art & music for people looking beyond the mainstream. The project was founded in mid 2005 by Sir H Johan Lundin and is based in Gothenburg, Sweden. 23 seconds is a non-profit project, and any earnings made from the sale of releases and other merchandise is applied towards web site hosting fees, concerts and future physical release projects. This web site was formally launched in august 2006 and is designed to provide information about 23 seconds and the artists. A promotion website for independent musicians, painters, filmmakers, photographers, writers, and all sorts of artists from different genres. Independent doesn�t mean being alone. It�s important to collaborate with people who can make your project shine. And 23 seconds is one way of doing it. We believe in diversity and the strength of art and we work towards crossing borders and connecting people. It took a while before things started, but now the pace is up and we are constantly trying to bring independent stuff to the music and art scene around the globe. Not all material is free, but many of the artists offer free downloadable mp3's, films and other artworks. We welcome any ideas, comments, or suggestions for our website. L'AMMD est un label associatif (loi 1901) dont le but est de promouvoir des projets artistiques eklektiks libres (au sens de la Licence Art Libre) par tous les moyens l�gaux. Organisation de soir�es de concerts, booking de groupes ou de compagnies, production d'albums, de clips, de DVDs, r�alisation de sites internet, promotion de groupes, etc. sont donc les activit�s principales de l'AMMD. Outre son appartenance au monde libre, l'AMMD revendique �galement une d�marche sociale, en pratiquant une politique de prix bas, voire sur mesure (soir�es au chapeau), et en r�instaurant une dynamique participative du public. Another Record est un label associatif fondé en 2001 à Poitiers. Son siège social est maintenant situé à Tours.
En 5 années d'existence, le label a sorti 26 albums, version CD ou internet et s'est forgé une solide réputation au sein de la scène indie française. Le label oeuvre pour l'exposition de groupes « pop-post-rock-folk ». Peu nous importent les étiquettes, l'essentiel est que nous ayons envie de défendre les groupes que nous sortons.

What is Camomille ?

Camomille is a free music netlabel created in 2002 to distribute free, creative-commons licensed .mp3 files in the shape of releases, mimicking CD releases. We strive to represent music that is individualist in nature, original and that inspires.

A bit of history

Back in the late 1980s, there was an underground music scene spun from the BBS ( bulletin Board System) scenes. Back then, before the internet was public, people used to log on to another person's computer by modem. We could upload, download, play games, post messages, all done in nifty ANSI interfaces. MP3s were way too heavy to download with 14.4 kbps modems, so the very popular music format was the module one. From the module and demo scenes bred a whole new kind of scene, the netlabel/scene group community, earlier led by groups such as fairlight, level-d, night55, noisemusic and mono and nowadays led by monotonik, tokyo dawn records, thinner, miasmah, kahvi, so on and so forth ( for more go to the links section ).

Camomille history

Camomille was founded on febuary 2nd, 2002, by Vincent Fugère, in Montreal Canada, out of the love of ambient music, camomille tea and as a representation of what inspires him to do music to this day. At the time camomille was a ' group ' and the team consisted of Brainwash, Mistrial ( who became echion, then Blisaed), Mv, Kaneel, Shiftless, slash ( who became Surasshu), Xerxes and Vizion. But for some years now, we have decided to ditch the group approach and rather release many artists from many different fields of musical styles, it is in this approach that we feel the Camomille netlabel is best represented, in unique, contrasting artists and their different interpretations of music.
